Temporary Specialist Support Worker - Mental Health Location: Tower Hamlets Hourly Rate: £15.90 - £16.50 per hour Contract: Temporary, Full-time (40 hours per week)

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Specialist Support Worker to join our Mental Health service in Tower Hamlets on a temporary basis. You'll play a key role in providing essential support to individuals in need, helping them navigate mental health challenges with practical and emotional support.

What You'll Do:

  • Build trusting relationships with customers and provide emotional, practical, and trauma-informed support.
  • Carry out holistic assessments and create tailored support plans to empower customers in their recovery journey.
  • Assist in the management of mental health symptoms and promote self-management of medication.
  • Work alongside external partners to deliver coordinated support.
  • Lead and facilitate therapeutic groups and activities.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Support with key work sessions, and manage handovers between shifts.
  • Contribute to a positive and safe environment, maintaining high standards of care.

About You:You'll be resilient, calm, and compassionate, with the ability to remain focused under pressure. You enjoy working as part of a team and are committed to the improvement of your own performance. With your ability to handle diverse behaviours, you'll provide a warm and welcoming presence for both customers and colleagues.

What You'll Bring: NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in a relevant field or experience in mental health services Full UK driving licence Desirable: Specialist knowledge related to mental health recovery and service users.
